John Lehman Advancing Recovery Scholarship

Helping Recovery Housing Leaders, Advocates, and Individuals with Lived Experience Attend the 2026 NARR Best Practices Summit.

2026 Scholarship Status Update

The John Lehman Advancing Recovery Scholarship received a significant number of applications, and demand exceeded the currently available scholarship funding. Applications submitted by the priority deadline are currently under review. To maximize the number of individuals able to attend the Summit, NARR is prioritizing registration scholarship awards during the initial funding round. Additional travel and lodging assistance may be awarded if additional scholarship funds become available prior to the Summit.

Applicants will be notified directly regarding award decisions and waitlist status.

Help Fund Additional Scholarship Recipients

Demand for scholarship assistance exceeded currently available funding, leaving many qualified applicants on a scholarship waitlist. Your contribution can help recovery housing professionals, peer leaders, advocates, and individuals with lived experience attend the 2026 NARR Best Practices Summit. Additional donations may allow NARR to provide more registration scholarships and limited travel assistance before the Summit.

About the Scholarship

The John Lehman Advancing Recovery Scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals who may not otherwise have access to professional development opportunities.

As funding for training and continuing education becomes more limited across the country, this scholarship helps ensure that recovery housing professionals, advocates, and individuals with lived experience can participate in the Summit regardless of financial barriers.

Scholarship recipients may receive support to offset the cost of registration and, in limited cases, travel and lodging expenses. The number and amount of awards are dependent upon available funding.

The number and amount of scholarships awarded will depend on available funding.

Current Funding Priorities

Due to the high number of applications received and limited scholarship funding currently available, NARR is prioritizing registration scholarship awards to maximize the number of individuals able to attend the Summit.

Additional travel and lodging assistance may be considered for select applicants if additional scholarship funds become available before the Summit. Travel assistance is not guaranteed.
